A pocket is a small container that is attached to something else. To pocket is to place something inside said container. Literally, the pocket is a part of an item of clothing, a bag or some functional item. However, there are also biological pockets, inexplicable pockets in time and space and mental pockets. This series is a study on the formation of pockets through fabric manipulation techniques. The forms themselves are specifically mimicking biological formation of pockets, like the reproductive system and the formation of tumors. Each swatch explores a different function of a pocket-- the uniformity, the duality and the absence of a pocket.
